9.13.2024 today i attempted to get a friday the 13th flash tattoo (hint: i was unsuccessful). i happened to find a place around me that actually had a flash sale for $31 and my boyfriend and i planned to go. and of course after telling him time and time again that we should get there before they open because there's definitely going to be a huge line, he wouldn't listen to me and we arrived like 10 minutes after they opened and there was a huge line. we waited about an hour in the scorching heat and finally got to the front to fill out the paperwork and get our numbers. we were numbers 92 and 93. yikes. but we left for a couple hours and killed time until we thought it would be close to our turn, and after waiting 1 hour in the car we found out we would still have to wait at least another hour. it was about 2 hours before the shop was going to close at that point and i was starting to get a headache and cramps (yay period) so we decided to call it quits. still kinda sad about it :( but there will be more friday the 13ths and i will for sure be getting a flash tattoo on one of them. for now my bf promised me he would pay for me to get a normal tattoo bc i wasn't able to get one today so it wasn't so bad of a trade off.
